Universal Scaling Laws for Solar and Stellar Atmospheric Heating: Catalog of Power-law Index between Solar Activity Proxies and Various Spectral Irradiances

چکیده
The formation of extremely hot outer atmospheres is one the most prominent manifestations magnetic activity common to late-type dwarf stars, including Sun. It widely believed that these atmospheric layers, corona, transition region, and chromosphere, are heated by dissipation energy transported upwards from stellar surface field. This signified spectral line fluxes at various wavelengths, scaled with power-law relationships against flux over a wide range temperatures, which universal Sun Sun-like stars different ages levels. study describes catalog indices between solar proxies fluxes. Compared previous studies, we expanded number proxies, now includes total flux, sunspot number, area, F10.7 cm radio further enhances lines factor two. provides data in detail flux-flux scaling laws regions specified temperatures corona (log(T/K)=6-7) those chromosphere (log(T/K)~4), as well reconstruction past, F-, G-, K-type dwarfs, modeled stars.

Scaling Laws of Solar and Stellar Flares
In this study we compile for the first time comprehensive data sets of solar and stellar flare parameters, including flare peak temperatures Tp, flare peak volume emission measures EMp, and flare durations τf from both solar and stellar data, as well as flare length scales L from solar data. Key results are that both the solar and stellar data are consistent with a common scaling law of EMp ∝ T...
متن کاملScaling Law for the Heating of Solar Coronal Loops.
We report preliminary results from a series of numerical simulations of the reduced magnetohydrodynamic equations used to describe the dynamics of magnetic loops in active regions of the solar corona. A stationary velocity field is applied at the photospheric boundaries to imitate the driving action of granule motions. A turbulent stationary regime is reached, characterized by a broadband power...
متن کاملEvidence for power-law distributions of total EUV/XUV solar irradiance that correlate with solar activity
The identification of flares in solar datasets implies using a thresholding process which excludes the majority of low-emission regions. In this paper we investigate a different measure of solar emission: the distribution of the total solar irradiance when integrated over the disk, obtained using extreme ultraviolet/soft X-ray observations from the SOHO CELIAS/SEM instrument. We show that durin...
متن کاملSolar and Stellar Coronae
The existence of hot coronae throughout the HR diagram has been proved by the observations of the Einstein observatory since the late 1970's This nding has stimulated a new interest in the study of stellar activity. The general picture relating stellar activity in late type stars to the internal generation, photospheric emergence, and chromospheric and coronal dissipation of magnetic elds, was ...
متن کاملInfluence of solar UVA on erythemal irradiances.
Many materials in everyday use such as window glass in homes and offices, glass in sunrooms and greenhouses, vehicle glass and some brands of sunscreens act as a barrier to the shorter UVB wavelengths while transmitting some of the longer UVA wavelengths. This paper reports on the erythemal exposures due to the UVA waveband encountered over a 12-month period for a solar zenith angle (SZA) range...
